You are formally invited to register for the regional workshop sponsored by CRDF Global
CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
CRDF Global will host an in-person, two-day workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 28-29, 2023. This workshop will explore the core foundations of innovation and intellectual property (IP) as it pertains to research security in the university sector. By attending, you will strengthen your awareness of risks to research and proactively counteract the tactics employed by malign actors seeking to illicitly transfer and divert sensitive research from Malaysian universities. Through engaging presentations, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises, globally recognized experts will provide you with valuable insights on strengthening research security best practices, thereby advancing and preserving the integrity of innovation and IP throughout the entirety of the research cycle.
Even in the infancy of your innovative ideas, seemingly legitimate partners and malign actors alike can exploit personal and institutional research security vulnerabilities to gain access to your data and research. In a rapidly evolving threat landscape, the security of university research is of paramount importance. At every step of the innovation journey, vulnerabilities can put your hard work at risk of falling into the wrong hands and being used for nefarious purposes. That's why we're calling on senior researchers, compliance officers, executives, senior administrators, and research directors to take the lead in reinforcing research security best practices and safe collaborations that protect this invaluable information.
Join us in fostering a culture where innovation thrives securely and collaboratively within Malaysian universities. Your registration is a step towards a safer and open future of research and innovation.
