Policy Workshop to Establish Robust Security Cultures and Empower Diverse Leaders in Tech
December 4-5, 2024 | Kraków, Poland | Asynchronous Course & Workshop
REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT HAS NOW CLOSED
OVERVIEW
On behalf of the U.S. Department of State, CRDF Global, in partnership with Krakowski Park Technologiczny, is pleased to provide selected attendees access to an online, self-paced course on building cultures of security in incubator spaces and invite them to a two-day in-person policy workshop and grant competition in Kraków, Poland, tentatively scheduled for December 4-5, 2024. Innovation hubs, incubator spaces, startups, and entrepreneurship programs foster industry collaboration and emerging technology communities, yet they are susceptible to intellectual property theft and technology diversion. The establishment of strong cultures of security is one mechanism that innovation spaces can utilize to better protect their businesses.
This program will empower you to identify potentially dual-use information and intellectual property, better understand threats to your businesses, and develop or improve upon security culture within your organizations to safeguard your critical innovations. As space is limited, early registration is highly encouraged.
TOPICS AND OBJECTIVES:
- High-Level Introduction to the Emerging Technology Threat Landscape: Understand the threats posed by dual-use emerging technologies.
- Protecting Your Start-Up: Understanding risks to organizations and introducing security culture as a risk mitigation.
- Security Culture: Core concepts and establishment of good practices with opportunities to network with security-minded organizations working on emerging technologies.
- Protecting Your Organization from Cyber Threats: Building cybersecurity culture, cyber hygiene, and best practices to secure innovation in the digital world.
