Enhance Security in the Turkish Unmanned Aerial Systems Private Sector Industry

  NOVEMBER 6-7, 2024 | Istanbul, Türkiye

CRDF Global will host an in-person, two-day workshop in Istanbul, Türkiye, on November 6-7, 2024. This program will explore best practices for protecting private sector unmanned aerial systems (UAS) technologies against business risks and misappropriation from competitors alike. This workshop is free of charge for participants.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

Staying ahead of regulatory requirements and security threats is imperative to any successful business strategy. In the rapidly evolving Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) industry, an imbalance between regulatory security and the rising trend of threat actors interested in UAS technology poses potential business risks to a company's staff and growth.

Participants of this training will learn how to effectively implement Know-Your-Customer (KYC) best practices to navigate export controls and sanctions compliance regulations within the UAS industry. This training aims to safeguard against illicit transactions and maintain supply chain integrity by enhancing robust due diligence measures and risk management. The workshop will foster a collaborative environment of information-sharing to address compliance challenges and uphold industry standards.

Workshop focus areas will include:

  • Dual-use technologies, their security concerns, and their significance in global security
  • Global regulations and controls designed to manage the development and dissemination of dual use technologies
  • Know-Your-Customer (KYC), related due diligence, policies, procedures, and controls, and their significance in mitigating business risks associated with dual-use technologies
  • Due diligence baseline, red flags, risk profiling and scoring, and high-risk jurisdictions
  • Best practices for working with industry partners to develop countermeasures and prevention programs

This event is best suited for Turkish nationals working in the UAS industry, including: operators, assemblers, technicians, company executives, compliance and legal officers, professionals specializing in supply chain management, manufacturing, procurement, distribution, trade, and shipment of UAS components and technologies.
