A Workshop Empowering Professionals in Dual-Use Technology Fields to Protect Their Research
SAFEGUARD OPEN AND COLLABORATIVE RESEACH
CRDF Global will host a two-day, in-person workshop on October 24-25, 2023, to provide pragmatic guidance on research security and cybersecurity best practices in raising awareness of and mitigating how malign actors seek to divert sensitive dual-use research, data, and technology. You will gain valuable insights into the various pathways through which misappropriation can occur, including investment and collaborative ventures involving intellectual property (IP) transfer. Through engaging presentations and discussion on research security risks, the workshop will address essential cybersecurity principles, enabling confidence amongst a non-technical audience in protecting both your organization's institutional and network security.
Stay ahead of the curve and safeguard the integrity and security of your sensitive research and networks! Your research in advanced and emerging technology is valued by both ethical partners as well as actors who seek to acquire it through illicit means. As Southeast Asia rises as a technology innovation center, it is key to establish robust institutional research compliance and cybersecurity networks to effectively counter the persistent threat these malign actors pose. These actors relentlessly seek access to dual-use technologies through human and cyber vulnerabilities. Given the current landscape, research and cybersecurity compliance officers, scientists, developers, and executives play a pivotal role in safeguarding information against theft.
Online Training Course
CRDF Global is proud to announce its collaboration with esteemed information security expert Mr. Steve Anson from Informed Defense, to deliver an exceptional and immersive training program. Complementing the comprehensive in-person workshop, Mr. Anson has developed an online training course that equips participants with the fundamental knowledge and resources required for active engagement during the in-person workshop. Approved registrants for the in-person workshop will gain access to the online course, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching learning experience. Learn more about Mr. Anson and the workshop’s agenda as you read below.
